Description: The warty skin is mostly a pale grey with complex, triangular and rectangular markings on the back. It has a pale, unspotted belly and robust hindlimbs. Compared to the similar Eastern Signbearing Froglet, the Desert Froglet is smaller, has more robust hindlimbs and pale, unspotted belly and warty skin.

Male size: 13-18 mm
Female size: 15-20 mm

Breeding: Calls from August to April. Spawn clumps found attached to vegetation in swamps.

SA Distribution: Found in the north-east corner of the state.

Habitat: Mostly found in creek beds, soaks and claypans associated with broad river channels. Can be found under leaves, rubbish and timber.

Call: Call is a chirruping sound.
